This term the students from grade Five and Six are learning all about how and why the government in Australia has changed. They experienced an incursion from the Parliament of Victoria to learn about how a law is made in our current society.
Students were interested to learn about the 3 levels of government that exist in Australia. They enjoyed participating in a role play where students took on the part of members and officers of the Parliament. The program allowed students to experience the law-making process first hand by acting out the debate and following the passage of a bill through the House of Representatives.
